Henry Steinbrook, the father of Mrs. Immke, was born in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, October 1, 1796, but when young was taken by his parents to Muskingum county, Ohio, where he engaged in farming and later in the manufacture of salt and in coal mining. By trade he was a wheelwright. In 1821 he married Sarah Leffler, who was born January 28, 1806, and died April, 1892. His death occurred May 4, 1873.
