Text:
James Corbin Died Saturday Saturday, March 11, marked the close of life for James Corbin, for many years a familiar figure in the work and on the streets of Vermilion. Quiet and unassuming, the presence of Mr. Corbin was felt rather than seen. He was a carpenter by trade. Fond of the water, his spare time was usually spent along the river or lake and often with children in charge. He was a member of the Security Benefit Association and the Vermilion Boat Club. He was born August 26, 1853 and was sixty-eight years, six months and fifteen days of age. He was ill with asthma and flu about ten days. He leaves to mourn their great loss, his wife, two daughters, Mrs. jay Stephens and Mrs. F. B. Parsons of Vermilion, one son, Charles of Sandusky, two brothers, Edward Corbin of Toledo and George Corbin of Menomimee, Michigan. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter Mrs. F. B. Parsons where he was taken a few days before his death.
